Okay, even I'll admit that was a little low. There you go, Megan, back into my killfile....that's a good girl.   Truth be told, I kinda like you and that's why I haven't pulled out the real heavy artillery. The simple fact of the matter is that you are generally unfriendly and you've treated me like shit from the first time you replied to one of my messages. So you just stay in my killfile and don't direct any further comments toward me and while you're at it, have a look at the number of welcoming or positive messages there have been to you on this board. That number is small. Very, very small. Why don't you just go away and find somewhere else to spread your unique brand of sunshine?

What are they? "The Little Engine that Could" and "Goodnight, Moon"?

Thanks for the info.  Maybe I'll check it out [from the library] in June when I'm not so busy.  In the meantime, I have two new books I've gotten as gifts that I don't have time to read.

You know what I like to read, and I really like the Harry Potter books.  I read the first book because of Jayson's interest in Harry Potter, and wound up enjoying it for myself - and wound up buying all four books and becoming a fan myself.  I describe them a bit like an in-depth fairy tale for older kids.  The books are imaginative and well written.  Definitely worth reading, in my opinion.  Just pick up a copy of the first book from the library and give it a try.  If you don't like it, no harm done.  If you do like it, then invest in the other books.  And if you're like me, you'll be able to tell in the first ten pages or so if you like the book or not - with Harry Potter, I didn't want to put the book down once I got a few pages into it.

GRRR-will someone tell me why the damn Harry Potter books are interesting to adults?  Stephen King, my favorite author, is retiring soon, so I will need a new author to follow.  Therefore, YES I AM interested in why these Harry Potter books are so popular.  But I don't want to buy one if there's a chance I might not enjoy it.  I like Stephen King, Thomas Harris, and Dean Koontz.  A.K. Rollings (sp?)?  Someone let me know if she'd interest me, please.
